Abstract
This Act, consisting of 8 Parts and completed by five Schedules, concerns bee keeping and contains provisions on registration of beekeepers and related licences (Part 3), regulation of beekeeping activities (Part 4), disease control (Part 4, Division 2), importation of bees (article 26), quarantine (article 27); compensation for loss of bees destroyed in compliance with the provisions of the Act (Part 5) and inspection and enforcement (Part 7). The Act is completed by four Schedules: notifiable diseases; prescribed diseases; compensatable diseases; repeals and savings and transitional provisions.

An Act to regulate the keeping of bees in New South Wales; to require and provide for the registration of beekeepers; to prevent the introduction of, and to control and eradicate, certain diseases and pests which afflict bees and apiaries in New South Wales; to provide for the payment of compensation to registered beekeepers in certain cases; and for certain other purposes.
