Abstract
This Regulation, consisting of 174 sections divided into ten Chapters and completed by seven Schedules, prescribes safety requirements in relation to exploring for, and producing, petroleum, coal and gas, including related procedural matters and fees. The Regulation is divided as follows: Preliminary (Chap. 1); Petroleum Safety requirements (Chap. 2); Coal mining and overlapping areas (Chap. 3); Pipelines (Chap. 4); Fuel gas networks and automotive LPG sites (Chap. 5); Gas systems (Chap. 6); Gas work (Chap. 7); Transport and supply of LPG (Chap. 8); Fees (Chap. 9) and Transitional provisions (Chap. 10).
Schedules specify the following issues: Gas devices (type A); Mandatory and preferred standards for safety requirements; Coal seam gas potential hazard guide; Strategic pipelines; Gas work licences and gas work authorizations; Fees and Dictionary.
Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force on 1 September 2018.
