Law No. 516-IIIQ on animal breeding.

This Law sets forth the legal and economic framework of organization and management of animal breeding. This Law aims at improving the efficiency of farm animals, breeding high-grade animals, ensuring biodiversity conservation, implementing captive breeding program and ensuring development of animal breeding. This Law does not cover wild and domestic animals. This Law determines main activities of animal breeding farms, and also the principals on certification, state control, registration and reproduction procedures of breeding animals and pedigree, selection-breeding programs, artificial insemination of farm animals and export and import of breeding stocks.The Law further sets forth provisions regarding the genogram registration system and provides for the rules and procedures of keeping genogram records.
