Abstract
This Law regulates the production and cultivation of well-breeding livestock, insemination of cattle, the organization of quality cattle-breeding, training and research in the field of animal husbandry, trade with quality animals, zoohygienic conditions of livestock, production and quality of feed for animals and products of animal origin, supervision over the implementation of laws and other issues important for efficiency and improving of the livestock sector and related activities and interests on the territory of the Republic of Srpska (part of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).
The provisions of this Law are regarding the breeding of equine, cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, poultry, bees and other livestock species that have economic importance.
The provisions provided by this Law are aimed to: increase the efficiency of production and breeding of domestic animals, preserving or improve their viability; increase the efficiency of livestock production; improve the quality of livestock products; preserve the genetic diversity of domestic animals.
The Law is divided into X Chapters and 63 articles, including the offences and related penalties.
