Abstract
This Regulation sets the values of maximum allowed or tolerated quantities or levels for certain contaminants in food and foodstuff.
This Regulation is aimed for following contaminants: nitrate, mycotoxin, metal, 3-monohloropropanediol (3-MPCD), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, dioxins and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), melamine and its analogues, accumulated radioactivity in the form of Cs134 and Cs137, other metals such as arsenic (As) total, copper (Cu), iron (Fe) and nickel (Ni).
This text further determines the procedures and measures to be undertaken in case of exceeding of such maximum allowed quantities.
The Annex is part of this publication (containing the list of maximum limits).
