Abstract
This Law regulates the conditions for storage and trade with grain or cereals; sets the powers of state bodies and sets the rights and obligations of natural and legal persons carrying out these activities on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The basic purpose of this Law is to create all necessary conditions for the sustainable development of grain production and grain processing at different stages, and stabilization of the grain internal market.
The Minister of Agriculture and Food shall carry out the duties and tasks object of this text. The national grain and feed service shall be entrusted with the following duties: public grain warehouses for licensing; various types of official controls that can be performed on licensed public grain warehouses and on registered grain storages and other grain storage sites; registration and control of grain traders; control of the conformity and quality/quantity of produced and marketed grain, cereals and feed.
Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
