Abstract
This Regulation determines the requirements aimed at defining the manner for the official identification of animals; the conditions for their use and application; the conditions, procedure and control over the collection, introduction, maintenance, and use of information that will be delivered and managed by the competent national authority (Integrated Information System, held by the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency).
Official identification of the animals is performed through the application of the proper unique codified ear brand or tag; or electronic tags (such as injectable transponder of electronic ear tag).
This Regulation further amends some provisions part of the Regulation No 61 of 9 May 2006 on the conditions and procedures for the identification of animals, registration of holdings and access to the database for identified animals and registered establishments (for details see articles 5 and 6 of the Transitional and final provisions chapter at the end of this publication).
