Abstract
The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to wine-growing. The Agriculture Office of the Canton Aargau is entrusted with the enforcement of the present Ordinance. This Office is responsible for authorization proceedings for planting new vine varieties, keeping of Wine-Growing Register, disposal of vine illegally planted, classification and declassification of vine plants, inspection of grape harvest, cooperating with the local Wine Grower Association and specific services and transfer of knowledge concerning promotion of wine-growing. The text consists of 21 articles divided into 6 chapters as follows: General provisions (1): Vine planting (2); Grape harvest and control of wine trade (3); Requirements for wines with a controlled designation of origin (4); Control of labelling of origin (5); Final provisions (6). Four Annexes are enclosed.
