Decree-Law No. 37/2015 establishing the regime of recreational and nautical tourism activities and its economic exploitation.

This Decree-Law, composed of eight Titles, establishes the regime of recreational and nautical tourism activities and their economic exploitation. This regime is applicable to all persons, natural or legal, national or foreign, who practice recreational and nautical tourism activities, as well as to those engaged in the economic exploitation of these activities within the waters under the jurisdiction of Cape Verde. It specifically regulates recreational boats, recreational boating, amateur fishing, maritime tourism activities, liability and compulsory insurance. This Decree-Law also prescribes offences and penalties for illegal activities.
