Abstract
This Law, implementing the European Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council no. 1303/2013 on a common organisation of the markets in agricultural products; the Regulation (EC) no. 543/2008 of the Commission, establishing detailed rules for the implementation of Regulation (EC) no. 1234/2007 of the Council on marketing rules for poultry meat; and Article 116 of the Regulation (EC) no. 1234/2007, applies to the marketing of poultry meat and covers the products listed in Part V of Annex VII of Regulation (EU) No. 1308/2013. The Law defines the following relevant terms: competent authority; establishment; Union Regulations; inspector; register; producer; slaughterhouse. Matters covered by this Law include: classification and labelling of poultry meat and exceptions; prohibition from receiving and possessing poultry meat not classified and marked, for the purpose of sale; powers of the competent Authority; application for registration of slaughterhouses and producers in the register; appointment and powers of inspectors; corrective actions to restore compliance with this Law and its provisions; imposition of administrative fines; offences and penalties; issuance of regulations.
