Abstract
The provisions of this Act define the terms, conditions, the competent institutions and the procedures of recognition of producer and other inter-branch organisations of fishery and aquaculture products specified in the Annex. "recognition" means the acknowledgement by the competent national authority that an organisation complies with the criteria and conditions laid down for this purpose by the Council Regulation 104/2000/EC on the common organisation of the markets of fishery and aquaculture products, and relevant Regulations adopted pursuant to this Law.

Entry into force notes
The Law shall come into force by a Cabinet Council Decision to be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic. The decision may not be issued before the accession of the Cypriot Republic to the European Union.
