Regulations no. 285 of 2003 on the Production, Marketing and Control of Forest Reproductive Material.

These Regulations, based on the provisions of article 11 of the Law on the Seeds and Propagating Materials of 1991, provide for implementing the Council Directive 99/105/EC of 22 December 1999 on the trade in forest reproductive material. The Regulations apply to the species listed in the attachment, used for forestry purposes. The Regulations define the following terms: seed-producing garden; genetically modified organism; forest reproductive material; certification; trade in forest reproductive material; labelling; inspector; production of forest reproductive material; propagating material. The Regulations cover the following matters: keeping records of forest propagating materials; classification of propagating materials; measures for importation of propagating materials; restriction on disposal of forestry propagating materials in case of negative impacts on environment, human health and biodiversity.
