Law No. 60 of 1991 on the Production and Marketing of Plant Propagating Material.

This Law provides for specifying measures for regulating the production and marketing of plant propagating materials, and thus defines the following relevant terms: certification; propagating material; inspection; plant disease; greenhouses and other spaces used for the creation of propagating material. The Law covers the following matters: appointment of the members of the Council, to exercise control over the production and marketing of propagating material; registration of propagating material centres; classification of propagating materials; measures for regulating trading of propagating materials; powers of inspectors; special provisions for seed potato control; offences and penalties.
