Act no. 274/2001 on water supply and sewerage systems.

This Act sets up provisions concerning the construction and development of water pipes and sewerage systems for public purposes and defines functions and tasks of administrative authorities in these matters. Public water supply and sewerage systems shall be established and operated in the public interest. The present Act consists of the following Sections: (1) General provisions; (2) Maintenance of water pipes and sewerages; (3) General technical requirements for the construction of water and sewerage pipes and water quality requirements; (4) Supply, measurement and prices; (5) Emergency and public service; (6) Protection ranges of water and sewerage pipes; (7) Activities of public administration; (8) Penalties; (9) Control, technical and economic audit; (10 Common, transitional and final provisions.
