Decree on foodstuffs intended for particular nutritional uses.

This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture establishes, in accordance with the European Community legislation, provisions concerning foodstuffs for particular nutritional uses: the types of foodstuffs, the health requirements of foodstuffs, their composition, labeling and conditions and methods of their use. Foodstuffs for particular nutritional uses are foodstuffs which, owing to their special composition or manufacturing process, are clearly distinguishable from foodstuffs for normal consumption, which are suitable for their claimed nutritional purposes and which are marketed in the way indicating such suitability. For the purposes of this Decree, the following food categories are defined: (a) infant food and food for young children; (b) processed cereal-based foodstuffs; (c) all-day dietary supplements for weight control; (d) food for special medical purposes; (e) food with low lactose or free of lactose.
