Abstract
This Decree, which is composed 12 articles, was adopted by the Ministry of Environment in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Agriculture. The Decree establishes, in accordance with relevant European Community provisions, detailed conditions on treatment of genetically modified organisms and genetic products. In particular, it deals with conditions for authorizing the restricted use of genetically modified organisms and their release into the environment. The Decree also concerns the registration of genetically modified organisms and genetic products the marketing of which is permitted. Further provisions regard risk assessment and emergency plans.
