Abstract
The present Law lays down provisions relating to water bodies in the Free State of Bavaria. The text consists of 14 articles divided into 12 Parts as follows: Waters and their classification (I); Ownership of waters (II); Use and protection of waters (III); Recreation and development (IV); Plants on or in waters, safeguard of water outlets (V); Survey of waters, measurement of waters, management plan and schedule of measures (VI); Expropriation (VII); Indemnification and compensation, (VIII); Competence and procedures (IX); Water book, waste water cadastre (X); Penalties (XI); Transitional and final provisions (XII).
