Act on structural methods in the fishing sector (No. 316 of 2001).

The purpose of the Act is to promote innovation and adaptation of structures for commercial fishing, aquaculture, processing and marketing of fishing products. It applies to the subsidy for a range of fishery-related structures, such as the improvement or purchase of new fishing vessels and their equipment, for the establishment or re-modernization of aquaculture plants, and the investment in facilities in harbours. Included in the financing goals, also consultancy in fishery matters, such as support in first-time commercial registration of fishing activities.
