Abstract
The Danish Agri-Fish Agency is regulated by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries and the purpose of this Order is to set regulations regarding the agricultural and fisheries development through the Agency's administrative supervision. The goal of this document is to implement the Ministry's business and environmental policies related to inspection, certification, consultancy and legal activities within the agriculture and fishery sectors. The Agency is also responsible for the administration of financial subsidies related to the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EGLF), the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and European Fisheries Fund (EFF). Inspection shall be undertaken by the Agency under the Animal Keeping Act, Animal Protection Act, thee Food Act and Act on feedstuff. The administrative Board shall be responsible for the monitoring and inspection tasks on behalf of the Ministry of Environment in adherence to Environmental, Hunting, Chemical and Nature Protection Acts. The Agency s administration duties extend to the Urban and Rural Acts, and to the Fisheries Development Act in relation to subsidies allocated for local activities. Cross-compliance of powers for the protection of animal welfare conferred by an authority under the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries shall be exercised by the director of the Danish AgriFish Agency in accordance to article 24a, sections 2-3, 6.
