Order No. 164 on food and animal feed-stuff trade.

Type of law

This Order applies to manufacturing, transportation, storage, marketing, international trade and use of animal feed-stuff. In adherence to EU regulations, this Act ensures that standards are observed in the import and export of feed-stuff. These must follow registration and guidelines for safety provision thereof. Additives and other chemical substances must specifically be controlled and follow guidelines listed in Appendix 4 to ensure animal health.
The Act consists of 12 Chapters and 7 Appendixes: Notice for application and general requirements (1); Feed material and compound (2); Feed additives and pre-mixes (3); Undesirable substances and pesticides (4); Export and import (5); Packing and labelling (6); Feed companies' approval and registration (7); Reporting to Vetstat (8); Control (9); Disclosure (10); Penal provisions (11) Entry into force (12).
