Abstract
The Authority is established as a body corporate under section 3. This corporation shall provide the inhabitants of Dominica with adequate water services. It shall consist of designated commissioners being public officers and representatives of specified town councils. The Chief engineer shall be the senior officer responsible for carrying out the decisions of the Authority. Powers and functions of the Authority are outlined in detail in section 13. The Authority may fix and collect fees and other charges for its services. The Authority may also make Regulations relative to various kinds of water supply (sect. 15). The Authority shall annually assess the general water rate, payable by each owner of each tenement situated in the prescribed water supply area (sect. 25). Remaining provisions concern internal matters of the Authority and offences. (50 sections)
