Abstract
This Regulation lays down detailed provisions to implement Regulation 1760/2000/EC under which a system for the identification and registration of bovine animals has been established. The controls provided for in that system shall at least comply with the minimum requirements set out in articles 2 to 5 hereto regarding inspections and reporting. As a general rule, on-the-spot checks shall be unannounced. Where advance warning is given, it shall be limited to the strict minimum necessary and shall not exceed 48 hours. Annex I specifies the information to be contained in the report on the results of controls made in the bovine sector regarding Community provisions for identification and registration.
