Abstract
This Decree provides rules for the individual marking and registration of bovine animals independently from their destination. For the purpose of identification and traceability of animals and for monitoring of supports a national data base, forming part of the National Animal Husbandry Databank, must be established and operated. Animals must be marked with ear tags bilaterally and bear them throughout their life. The ear tags must comply with EU rules. This Decree sets forth also provisions regarding the transport of animals, the documentation which must accompany the transported animals, the tasks of authorities and entities having a role in the identification and registration system, inspections and sanctions.
