Council Directive 76/116/EEC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to fertilizers.

This Directive shall apply to products which are marketed as fertilizers and designated "EC fertilizer". Member States shall take all the necessary measures to ensure that the designation "EC fertilizer" may only be used for fertilizers belonging to one of the solid fertilizer types listed in Annex I and complying with the conditions laid down by the Directive and Annexes I to III thereto. Member States shall take all the necessary measures to ensure that the fertilizers referred to in Article 1 are provided with identification markings. This Directive also reports under article 4 norms for labelling and packaging of these products. (13 articles and 3 Annexes)
