Law on Plant Protection Products (No. 1563 of 2011).

This Law provides rules relative to the use of pesticides so as to reduce the risks to human health and the environment that may arise from such use. It implements provisions of Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market and provides, among other things, for training and qualification for use of pesticides, storage and handling of plant protection products, testing of equipment used for application of pesticides, control and monitoring and information on plant protection products. It prohibits, subject to certain exceptions, aerial spraying of pesticides. "Plant Protection Products" is defined by Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009.
