Abstract
This Act provides in general for the protection of public health and the living environment.
The text consists of 62 sections which are divided into 16 Chapters: General provisions (1); Authorities and their tasks (2); Activities for which a permit is required (3); Activities which require notification (4); Household water (5); Waste and waste water (6); Sanitary requirements in dwellings, other residential premises and public places (7); General hygiene of foodstuffs (8); Cemeteries and burial (9); Information, inspection and supervision (10); Research laboratories and fees (11); Prohibitions and directives (12); Enforcement and penal provisions (13); Appeal within the administration and execution of decisions (14); Miscellaneous provisions (15); Entry into force and transitional provisions (16).
Provisions of Chapter 5 deal with the notification of waterworks, the connection to water supply installations, and prevention of diseases. Section 23 of Chapter 23 concerns the connection to water discharge installations.
