Abstract
These Regulations lay down requirements for permits for solid and liquid waste, livestock waste and air pollution permit. Parts 4 and 5 set out rules on air quality standards, monitoring of air quality, compliance with standards, air pollution management plans and control over emissions to air from certain activities. Division B addresses waste recycling of batteries and plastic bottles, and the requirements for and conditions of recycling facility permits, waste transport permit, and solid waste dump permit. Division C determines rules on the administration, conditions and procedures of permits, inspection and compliance. Part 13 lays down miscellaneous provisions as regards the forms set out in Schedule 1, fees set out in Schedule 2, amendment of Schedules, offences and penalties, and development of guidelines as to the practice recommended for the environmentally safe disposal, discharge or emission of waste and pollutants from facilities, and regulated activities.
