Abstract
This Order makes provision for the application of section 32 of the Animal Health Act 1981 to diseases specified in this Order. Section 32 enables the Minister to cause animals to be slaughtered on account of one of such disease. "Animal" in the Animal Health Act 1981 is extended in this Order to include any kind of mammal except man. The Order also amends the Specified Diseases (Notification) Order 1991 and the Diseases of Animals (Ascertainment of Disease) Order 1985 regarding the definition of “specified diseases”.
