Abstract
The Law, consisting of five Chapters divided into 21 articles and two Annexes, establishes the requirements for movement and marketing of fresh and perishable agricultural products. It specifies that a trader who buy agricultural products from a producer must pay within 60 days. The producer shall notify to the competent authority specific documents concerning these agricultural products. The competent authority shall, in cooperation with the Directorate of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, carry out related controls to comply with these provisions. The labelling of meat/milk origin is mandatory, whether prepacked or not, as listed in Annex II, and shall include the following: a) name of the country where meat/milking has been produced; b) name of the country in which the meat/milk was processed; c) name of the country in which the product was packaged. If the processing and packaging has taken place in the same country, the indication of origin in the final product may be attributed uniformly as 'Origin: Name of country'. If processing and packaging have taken place in more than one Member State of the European Union, the indication of origin in the final product can be attributed uniformly as "EU origin". If processing and packaging have taken place in more than one non-EU country the indication of origin in the final product can be attributed uniformly to "non-EU origin". The above mentioned indications shall be indicated in accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011 on both pre-packaged and non-prepacked finished products at retail outlets.
