Ministerial Decision 174505/607 of 2017, Amendment of Annexes IV and V of Article 8 of Joint Ministerial Decision No. 22306/1075/2007 (B'920) and of Annexes I, III, VI and IX of Article 30 of Joint Ministerial Decision No. 14122/549/2011 (B'488), in compliance with Directive 2015/1480/EU "amending certain Annexes to Directives 2004/107/EC and 2008/50/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down rules on reference methods, data validation and the location of sampling points for the assessment of ambient air quality" of the European Commission.

This Ministerial Decision, implementing European Legislation, provides for amending previous Decisions concerning air quality. The Decision aims at updating the data quality objectives and the relevant reference methods for the assessment of pollutant concentrations and at taking into account the evolution of standards for sampling and measurement of pollutants, in order to avoid, prevent or reduce harmful effects on public health and the environment. Amendment of article 3 of Joint Ministerial Decision no. 14122/549 of 2011 concerns the relevant regional services responsible for the installation of national air quality monitoring network, and the designation of the Atmospheric Quality Laboratory as the competent authority to ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurements during the assessment of ambient air quality.
