Abstract
With this Decree are established the maximum levels for pesticide residues in and on fruit and vegetables, in accordance with the provisions of Council Directive 76/895/EEC, as amended by EC Directives Nos. 80/428 of 1980, 81/36 of 1981 and 82/528 of 1982 and in compliance with the provisions of article 1, Law No. 721/1977. In Annex II to this Decree are established the maximum levels of pesticide residues allowed in or on vegetables intended for human or, in exceptional cases, animal consumption and are listed in Annex I to this Decree. After the entry into force of the present Decree, putting on the market products referred to in Annex I exceeding the maximum levels laid down in Annex II, shall be prohibited. Controls on the compliance with the present provisions shall be done according to the provisions of article 21 of Law No. 721/1977.
