Ministerial Joint Decree No. 35043/2524 adapting the Greek legislative frame with the provisions of EU Directive 2008/68/EC on the inland transport of dangerous goods.

The Decree aims at the transposition into the national legislation and application of EU Directive 2008/68/EC on the inland transport of dangerous goods. Under this light, the provisions of this Decree shall apply to the transport of dangerous goods by road, by rail or by inland waterway within the national territory or between EU Member States, including the activities of loading and unloading, the transfer to or from another mode of transport and the stops necessitated by the circumstances of the transport (article 1). The Decree consists of 10 articles composed as follows: scope (art. 1); definitions (art. 2); general provisions (art. 3); transport of dangerous goods between Greece and third countries (art. 4); restrictions on grounds of transport safety (art. 5); derogations (art. 6); transitional provisions (art. 7); Annexes (art. 8); repeals (art. 9); entry into force (art. 10).
