Abstract
The purpose of this Decree is to adapt the Greek legislative frame, as regards the transport of dangerous goods by rail, with the provisions of Council Directive 96/49/EC as amended by Commission Directives 96/87/EC and 1999/48/EC. Article 6 to this Decree lays down particular derogations, restrictions and exemptions for transport of dangerous goods by rail. Without prejudice to the provisions of article 6, the transport of dangerous goods by rail shall be prohibited if not complying with the provisions of the Annexes attached to this Decree.
