Abstract
This Order establishes, in compliance Council Directives Nos. 91/492/EEC, 91/493/EEC and 92/48/EEC, hygiene conditions for the placing on the market of alive bivalve molluscs and fishery products. The standards for molluscs are set forth extensively in Annex A of this Order. The establishments performing preparation, processing, chilling, freezing, packaging or storage of fishery products, factory-vessels, auction and wholesale markets must be approved and are subject to regular inspections by the regional Veterinary Service of the Ministry of Agriculture. The Order establishes also conditions for the imports of fishery products from third countries, which include a health certificate.
