Abstract
This Law adopts various community standards and technical measures all deriving from the Regulation (EC) no. 850/2004 on persistent organic pollutants (30.04.2004) and regards its implementation on the territory of the Croatian Republic.
This Law also designates the national authority and the tasks of the designated national authority for the mandatory implementation of the Regulation (EC) No 689/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the export and import of dangerous chemicals (Official Journal of the European Union No. 204, 31 July 2008).
This Law further contains certain monitoring, data collection, inspection and offences and penalties related provisions.

Entry into force notes
This Law will be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force on the day of the Croatian entrance into the European Union.
