Law on official controls performed in accordance with food, animal feed, health and animal welfare requirements.

This Law establishes the competent authorities and their tasks related to the organization, coordination and implementation of official controls, the implementation of official controls, modes of cooperation, communication and reporting, also aimed to regulate the system of official data collection and reports and reference laboratories and misdemeanor provisions, all regarding the implementation of the standards and rules contained in the following documents: Regulation (EC) No. 882/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 on official controls performed to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law and regulations on animal health and welfare (OJ L 165, 30.4.2004.) with any amendment; Commission Decision 2006/677/EC of 29 September 2006 laying down guidelines that provide principles for the implementation of audit in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 882/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on official controls performed to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law and regulations on animal health and welfare (OJ L 287, 10.10.2006.); Commission Decision 2007/363/EC of 21 May 2007 on guidelines to assist Member States in preparing the single integrated multi-annual national control plan provided for in Regulation (EC) no. 882/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on official controls performed to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law and regulations on animal health and welfare (OJ L 138, 31.3.2007.).
The Law is divided into 14 Chapters and 35 articles, including the offences an related penalties.
