Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the necessary registration process for operators in the food business and the procedures for the mandatory approval and consequential registration under the special conditions for all food business facilities on the territory of the Republic of Croatia; the method of keeping of these registers; the list of various conditions to be met by facilities in the food business; and particular/special rules on the direct supply of small quantities of primary products of animal origin (to the final consumer or to local retail establishment).
This text transposes the provisions and terms used in the following documents: Regulation (EC) No. 852/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 on the hygiene of foodstuffs; Regulation 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 laying down specific hygiene rules for food of animal origin (including all amending Regulations such as Commission Regulation (EU) no. 218/2014); and Implementing Regulation (EU) no. 208/2013 of 11 March 2013 on the requirements for traceability of germs and seeds intended for the production of germs.
