Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the plant protection measures for the prevention of spread and for the control over the presence of the fruit pest called Mediterranean fruit fly-Ceratitis capitate (Wiedemann). Physical, hygienicn and other measures and practices are determined in articles 4 and 5.
Host plant are listed as follows: Citrus reticulata - mandarin, Citrus reticulata x Citrus aurantium - clementines, Citrus sinensis - orange, Citrus paradisi - Grapefruit, Diospyros kaki - khaki, Eryobotria japonica - medlar, Ficus carica - fig, Fortunella japonica - kumquat, Malus domestica - apple, Prunus armeniaca - apricot, Prunus domestica - plum, Prunus persica - peach and nectarine, Prunus salicina - Japanese plum,Pyrus communis - pear, Pyrus pyrifolia - nashi.
