Abstract
This Regulation determines issues relevant for the municipal waste collection and management as regards the territory of the Republic of Croatia. The purpose of this Regulation is to establish a public, quality, sustainable and cost-effective municipal waste collection system in all local government units, in accordance with the principles of sustainable development, environmental protection, waste management and protection of the public interest.
This text sets out rules in relation to the public service municipal waste management, in connection with the public service of collection of mixed municipal waste and biodegradable municipal waste, and separate collection of waste paper, metal, glass, plastic, textiles, problematic waste and large (bulky) waste, spatial arrangement of recycling yards, method and conditions for determining and calculating of necessary fees and possible incentive fees for reducing the quantity if generated mixed municipal waste.
