Abstract
This Law provides for all standards and necessary measures aimed to prevent or reduce the harmful effects of waste on human health and on environment by reducing the amount of waste in the development and/or production and by regulating all waste related management tasks without the use of high-risk procedures (on human health and on environment).
This Law establishes a general system of waste management, including the order of priority (sorting by types and other characteristics) of waste management, principles, objectives and methods of waste management, waste collection strategies, strategic and program documents in waste management (concrete prescribed responsibilities and obligations in waste management), location and construction of waste management, waste management monitoring provisions, rules governing the transboundary movement of waste, establishes a unique waste management information system, and also provides the rules and standards for the inspection matters.
This Law is divided into 12 Chapters and 188 articles, including all offences and related penalties.
The Annex is an integral part of this Law.
