Regulation on the national obligations to reduce emissions of certain pollutants into the air in the Republic of Croatia.

Abstract
This Regulation determines the issues as regards certain pollutants in air that cause adverse effects of acidification, eutrophication and photochemical pollution, further regulates their emission quota or national reduction obligation for a given period in the Republic of Croatia and the method of emission calculation developed by the Croatian Environment and Nature Agency.
This Regulation transposes the following directives of the European Union: Articles 1 and 4 of Directive 2001/81/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2001 on the national upper limit of emissions for certain pollutants, as supplemented by the Council Directive 2013/17/EU of 13 May 2013 on the adaptation of certain environmental directives to the Republic of Croatia; European Parliament and Council Directive (EU) 2016/2284 of 14 December 2016 on the reduction of national emissions of certain atmospheric pollutants, amending Directive 2003/35/EC and repealing Council Directive 2001/81/EC.
The main objective of this text is the restriction of anthropogenic emissions of certain pollutants in the air, in order to achieve progress in gaining air quality levels that do not lead to significant adverse effects and risks to human health and the environment.
The Annex (I-IV) is an integrated part of this publication (technical issues and lists).

This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Notes
The provisions of article 5, paragraphs 2 and 3 of this Regulation shall remain in force until 31 December 2019.
