Abstract
Part One of this Act amends the definition of certain terms used in the Basic Text. This Act re-defines the classification of production areas, the rules of plantation, felling and substitution of vine. Provisions regarding oenological proceedings and the production of wine products are also amended by this Act. The Act amends also rules regarding the quality control of wines, sanctions and fines, labelling with special regard to the origin of quality, special quality wines and wines of protected origin. According to the amended Article 69 of the Basic Text, wine growers' associations authorize the plantation and felling of vineyards, and issue certifications of origin. The Act modifies certain wine production areas.
