Abstract
This Decree, in Chapter II, provides for the assessment of carbon dioxide storage capacity, the authorization of geological exploration, application for storage permit, financial security to be presented by the operator, the composition of carbon dioxide stream and injection, access to transport networks, cooperation agreement. Chapter III address the inspections that the operator shall carry out and those to be carries out by the competent mining authority, reporting by the operator to the mining authority, the registration of storage sites and storage permits by the mining authority and reporting to the EU Commission, implementation of corrective measures by the operator or the mining authority based on a corrective measure plan, modification of storage permit, selection of the licensee of a new storage permit. Chapter IV concerns the closure of a storage site and the transfer of responsibility. Chapter V provides for sanctions.
