Decree No. 445 of 2012 (XII. 29.) Korm of the Government on waste management activities related to batteries and accumulators.

This Decree applies to battery and accumulator and their waste, to the taking back, collection, transport and treatment of waste battery and accumulator. It provides rules regarding marketing and labelling of battery and accumulator, battery and accumulator producer s obligation of taking back, collection and treatment and of informing consumers and distributors. Producers may transfer their obligation to intermediate organizations. Producers and intermediate organizations shall be registered. This Decree contains rules also concerning the obligation of producers and intermediate organizations to keep registers and report on their activity, the obligations of distributors and waste holders, as well as official controls and sanctions for offenders.
