Abstract
These Regulations, which give legal effect to Directives 90/427/EEC and 90/428/EEC and Decisions 93/623/EEC and 2000/68/EEC, set out the criteria which a body must meet if it is to maintain an officially recognized stud-book, provide for the non-discriminatory treatment of competition horses and provide for the issuing of identity documents for and control of movement of non-registered horses. The Minister may grant an approval to a person or to an international association or organization for the purposes of maintaining a stud-book subject to the provisions of regulation 3(2).
