Abstract
These Regulations make provision for the registration of sales of fish sold for the first time (first sale fish) by persons selling such fish from an Irish fishing boat in other Member States of the EU and for registration of buyers of such fish. They also require registered fish auction centres to maintain records of the sale of first sale fish and introduce other measures to control the marketing of first sale fish. "Fish" means fish landed from a vessel to which Article 9 or Article 22 of Council Regulation (EC) No. 2371/2002 on the conservation and sustainable exploitation of fisheries resources under the Common Fisheries Policy applies.
