Abstract
These Regulations prescribe maximum limits of contaminants, toxic substances and residues that may be contained in food.
The Regulations specify the metal contaminants, crop contaminants, naturally occurring toxic substances and residues that food or food articles may contain and which shall not exceed the limits specified in the Tables.
The Regulations further specify the antibiotics that sea foods may contain and which shall not exceed the tolerance limits specified in the text, and give a list of antibiotics which are prohibited to be used at any stage of processing of meat and meat products, poultry and eggs, and sea foods.
