Abstract
This Legislative Decree sets forth the regulatory framework in matter of greenhouse gas emission allowance trading within the European Community. The Legislative Decree has been adopted pursuant to Directives 2003/87/EC and 2004/101/EC, which establish a scheme for greenhouse emission allowance trading within the European Community in order to promote reductions of greenhouse gas emissions in a cost-effective and economically efficient manner. These provisions apply to emissions caused by the activities listed in Annex A and to greenhouse gas emissions listed in Annex B. A committee in charge of the implementation of Directive 2003/87/EC is set up by article 8.
