Abstract
This Regional Act lays down provisions on the collecting, marketing and improvement of spontaneous fresh and conserved mushrooms. It is divided into three Titles.
Title I regulates the collecting of mushrooms in forests and cultivated areas by Italian citizens having their legal residence in the Umbria Region. Collecting is not allowed during the periods defined by article 2, paragraph 3. The maximum quantity that may be collected is established by article 2, paragraph 4. Articles 4 and 5 regard special authorizations to be issued by the Region. The marketing and the collecting of species of mushrooms listed in article 6 is forbidden. Title II concerns the marketing of mushrooms. A health authorization is compulsory for the marketing, the processing, the conservation and the packaging of mushrooms. Title III regards the inspections to be carried out by the local and the Government competent bodies. Further provisions concern penalties and the allocation of financial resources.
