Law No. LP216/2023 on amendments to some legislative acts (optimization of the activities of the National public health agencies).

Article 28 of the Law No. 105-XV on protection of consumers’ rights shall be amended to add the following wording: “Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices shall be competent public authority in the field of medicinal products, pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical products, medical devices, as well as other products and services provided to consumers by pharmaceutical companies and institutions”. Article 2 of the Law No. 10 “On state supervision over public health” shall be amended to add the following wording: “Biosafety is a set of principles, technologies and practices, used to ensure protection, control and accounting of biological material and/or equipment associated with its processing. Registration certificate shall be intended authorizing document that competent authority for state supervision of public health records the placing on the market and use of a product or category products”. Article 24 of the Law No. 10 “On state supervision over public health” shall be amended to add the following wording: “The following products that pose a potential danger to human health and life are subject to state registration: (a) biocidal products; (b) food additives, other than those containing exclusively vitamins and/or minerals; (c) novel food; and (d) food additives, enzymes and flavorings.”
